Shapley values serve as a powerful tool to\nunderstand and explain why a model makes a particular\nprediction. The permutation-based SHAP method\nproposed by Strumbel and Kononenko (2014)\n is grounded in data obtained\nvia MCMC sampling. Similar to the BART model introduced by\nChipman, George, and McCulloch (2010) ,\nthis package leverages Bayesian posterior samples generated\nduring model estimation, allowing variable contributions to be\ncomputed without requiring additional sampling. The BART model\nis designed to work with the following R packages: 'BART'\n, 'bartMachine'\n, and 'dbarts'\n. For XGBoost and\nbaseline adjustments, the approach by Lundberg et al. (2020)\n is also considered. The BARP\nmodel proposed by Bisbee (2019) \nwas implemented with reference to\n and is designed to work with\nmodified functions based on that implementation. BARP extends\npost-stratification by computing variable contributions within\neach stratum defined by stratifying variables.
